Project Simmendans is a small-scale renovation project consisting of one house, two apartments and a commercial space. This unique property composed by a deep and wide house with cemented bell and frame facade from the 18th century, includes many authentic elements that will be preserved. Located a stone's throw from the St. Rombout tower, this location exudes Mechelen history. Formerly called "Simmendans", from 1588 to 1793 it was a monastery building of the Convent of Bethany. From 1810, it was part of Brewery Den Posthoorn. A more recent infill was a store for office supplies known as "Mispelters." Show all Show less
