Description
In the heart of Wechelderzande, along the lively Oostmalsebaan and within walking distance of the village center, you will find the unique residential project t'Wechels Klooster, where historical heritage and contemporary living comfort blend seamlessly. This exceptional project, housed in a former convent and school building dating from 1911, was redeveloped with the greatest care and respect for authenticity into a stylish and small-scale residential site with four ground-level homes, an exclusive rooftop apartment and a commercial space. The characterful façade and architectural elements are restored with an eye for detail and sustainability, keeping the past tangible in a contemporary residential context. The homes are distinguished by their unique appearance, high ceilings and large windows that provide an abundance of natural light and a particularly spacious feeling. Each residential unit was thoughtfully laid out so that the living spaces connect harmoniously to the terrace and private garden, allowing the inside and outside to flow seamlessly together. The gardens are an extension of the living space and offer peace and privacy, while the authentic walls of the former school building create a secure and green inner garden where it is pleasant to linger. Three of the houses also have a practical garden shed, which further enhances the living comfort.
