Résidence Marina is part of an innovative development plan (AXE LIANE) of the city for the fishing port and old ferry jetties. 'Marina' is a stone's throw from the largest aquarium in Europe (Nausicaa), and the newly renovated Pier and beach are nearby.
Boulogne is the capital of the Opal Coast and, in addition to a multitude of bars and restaurants, also offers a historic city center with a basilica and the old city walls. The Romans were already there, but Boulogne was also an important fortress in the Middle Ages.
Napoleon wanted to move to England with 120,000 soldiers in 1805, but in the end it didn't happen....
The Opal Coast is also a fantastic walking and cycling area with many kilometers of beaches and highlights such as Cap Griz Nez and Blanc Nez. Particularly beautiful and fascinating places are Wimereux, Hardelot, Le Touquet, Montreuil sur Mer, Wissant, but also Calais and Dunkirk are two larger cities with a nice range of experiences.
The fish market is also nearby, but you should definitely visit the 'Cité Europe' shopping centers with more than 140 shops and the Channel Outlet, both just before Calais.
In short, just over 100 km from the Belgian coast, you will find a 'different' holiday destination in Boulogne... how 'different' you have to experience for yourself...
To be clear...we are selling this apartment because we bought a larger apartment in the same residence (for 6 people with a larger terrace).
