The design of this building, entrusted to the architectural firm Tetra Kayser & Associés, is based on three major motivations. First, a good integration of the building in the city center through an aesthetic identity based on a dialogue between natural stone and non-reflective glazed elements. Next, the quality of the working environment by focusing on natural lighting, climate comfort, flexibility, and maximum adaptability of workspaces. Finally, the environmental concern regarding both the quality of the surroundings and the techniques used in terms of thermal, acoustic, and energy performance. La volonté a été d'imaginer un environnement ouvert, fonctionnel et modulaire, avec un maximum de lumière naturelle, de confort thermique et acoustique ainsi qu'une vue exceptionnelle sur l'extérieur. Des passerelles entre les immeubles ont été aménagées. K2 s'étend sur un site de 2,5 ha dont la moitié est dévolue aux allées et aux espaces verts. K2 is comprised of six ideally-located office buildings at the intersection of two main roads, Boulevard Kennedy and Rue Coudenove Calerghi, right in the heart of Kirchberg. The architects' firm Art & Build, in partnership with Tetra Kayser, was responsible for its design. The idea was to imagine an open, functional and modular environment, with a maximum of natural light, thermal and acoustic comfort, as well as an exceptional view on the outside. Footbridges were installed between the buildings. K2 extends over a 2.5 ha site, half of which is devoted to paths and green spaces.
